Museum Legion of Honnor, SAN FRANCISCO
The Museum of the Legion of Honor was built in 1924 in honor of the Californian soldiers who died in combat during World War I in France. The facade of the museum is a copy of the Legion of Honor in Paris. Since 1995, the Museum of the Legion of Honor is cooperating with the de Young Museum as the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
The Museum of the Legion of Honor is in Lincoln Park (34th Avenue and Clement Street) where you will have a grand view of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco. The museum houses sculptures such as Rodin’s Thinker and paintings (Picasso, Dali, Monet, Van Gogh …) from around the world.
Deal: The tour is free the first Tuesday of the month, otherwise admission costs $ 10.
